Our school was established in 1985 by Ms. Annette Hanson after years of advanced training and practice perfecting her craft, business acumen and becoming a leading advocate in the field of esthetics. For 25 years in our 600-Hour Esthetics course we have prepared the leaders in the field of esthetics.

Our courses are conducted in our fully-equipped contemporary classrooms, which allow for full-time day and part-time evening and weekend Esthetics Courses as well as Waxing and Advanced Classes.

Estheticians and related occupations work in many areas with varying job demands. Estheticians and the related occupations all work with skin, performing facial and body treatments, waxing and make-up to improve skin condition and relax the client. Persons working in medispas or medical practices must expand their knowledge and skills in specific treatments, such as chemical exfoliations, skin resurfacing, pre and postoperative care and other specialized physician supervised services. Skin Care Specialists also work in sales, creating home care regimens, expanding client’s ability to care for their own skin. Our graduates work part-time and full-time for small companies and large or independently in their own businesses.

Our School
All of our experienced instructors are licensed by the New York State Department of Education. Students will be taught under their personal guidance through theory and practical hands-on training. Along with the most effective means of teaching, we offer a solid education so that a successful future can be yours.
Annette Hanson is the founder of Atelier Esthétique Institute; a New York State licensed esthetics school and postgraduate facility. Her professional experience in skin care spans more than 30 years as an esthetician, body therapist, salon manager, educator, and spa consultant.
She is an active member of the New York State Cosmetology Association, and has served on the Board of the National Coalition of Esthetic & Related Professional Associations (NCEA). She serves on The Appearance Enhancement Advisory Committee to the New York Department of State. She was instrumental in the development of the 600-hour curriculum for the New York State Esthetics License as well as the written and practical exam.

Part-Time Esthetician Licensure Course
Would You Like to Become an Esthetician but Can’t Quit Your Day Job? We’ve designed our Night School with you in mind! If you can only come on the Weekends, we offer weekend only classes. These courses meet all the requirements towards the New York State 600 Hour Esthetician’s License. At the same time it gives you additional courses you won’t find elsewhere— providing an edge over the competition when you start looking for a job.

Waxing Licensure Course
In our 75-Hour Licensure Course g et all the hands on experience and learn all you need to know to become a waxing specialist. In New York State, only those with a cosmetology, esthetics, or special waxing license are permitted to perform waxing.
